Building on the prestigious legacy of the Empyrean (I), Empyrean II achieves a unique harmony of craftsmanship, audio innovation and artistry. Its precision CNC milled assembly features silver accents and a fully redesigned grill inspired by bold art deco ornamentation.
Empyrean II's hybrid array driver has once again been designed in collaboration with Rinaro Isodynamics, featuring a switchback and spiral shaped voice coil all within one driver for agile targeting around the natural form of the ear. Switchback coils are most adept at low-end frequencies and are situated at the upper part of the driver, while spiral coils are most at home with mid-to-high frequencies are are positioned directly atop the ear canal for direct aural delivery without any delay.
Multiple possibilities were meticulously researched to achieve a tuning balance which achieves both clean and accurate representation of sound, as well as elevated resolution and detail.
The Empyrean II's all-new Duo ear pads have been wholly redesigned from the ground up to match the headphone's best qualities. Harnessing a precise blend of both premium leather and Alcantara for the base half and covering respectively, Duo ear pads enable a new contemporary dimension to the sound signature which blends and resonates perfectly across all genres of music.
After multiple rounds of testing material ratios, Meze discovered the ultimate combination of leather for sustained bass and Alcantara for spatiality which allows the Empyrean II headphone to perform at its very best.
Empyrean II's purpose-built headband assembly strives to offer unparalleled comfort, adapting tried and tested ergonomics to minimise weight and pressure and provide numerous hours of uninterrupted enjoyment.
