Takumi is the brainchild of Dutch electrical engineer Rik Stoet. He started building tube amplifiers from 1993 before turning his focus toward turntables. His first Takumi made use of a few third-party components. It was a smart, straightforward design — simple in form, but with impressive sound quality.
